PFEIFER among the Innovative Top 100

Pfeifer Seil- und Hebetechnik GmbH, the parent company of the PFEIFER group of companies in Memmingen / Germany, has received the Top 100 seal of approval for its particularly innovative achievements.

The seal is awarded in connection with the comparative study of the same name carried out throughout Germany. In this study Prof. Nikolaus Franke from the University of Economics in Vienna investigates innovation management in medium-sized businesses. The best hundred – to which Pfeifer now belongs – bear the Top 100 seal of approval of 2006. Lothar Späth, mentor and former minister-president of the German federal state of Baden-Württemberg presented the renowned award to Gerhard Pfeifer, the managing partner of the Pfeifer Group during the summit meeting of the top innovators on the Zugspitze. As a result of its sound specialist knowledge, its high degree of product quality and its outstanding customer orientation, Pfeifer has developed into one of the leading companies in Europe in the sector of rope, anchoring and lifting systems. Innovative and spectacular projects such as, for example, seven of the twelve World Cup Stadiums in Germany were constructed with rope, connecting parts and the competence of Pfeifer. This traditional Memmingen business draws the necessary strength in innovation from clearly defined innovation processes, precise idea management and continuous further training for the employees. There are specialised teams consisting of product managers and engineers in all divisions who deal with innovation and further development. With regard to the future, management is relying on process innovation and market innovation.
