Raymond Barre Bridge, Lyon, France

For the bridge over the Rhone in 2014 the Load Scan™ system was used for the first time.

In this case, the conventional pins of the end fittings were replaced with purpose-built LoadSCAN™ pins.

These pins allow precise and continuous measurement of the axial forces in the cables, enabling accurate and straightforward monitoring including documentation, during installation and tensioning.

Unlike other load monitoring instruments, the results of the LoadSCAN™ measurement in real time, can be read directly by means of handheld devices. Thus any errors by measurement or process, are virtually eliminated.
