PFEIFER complies with the new Contruction Products Regulation
Dear Business Partners, the new European Regulation No. 305/2011 of the European Parliament and the Council of 9th March, 2011, laying down harmonized conditions for the marketing of construction products, became legally effective on 1st July 2013. It will be applicable for construction products, which are based on a
- harmonized European product standard,
- European Technical Assessment
At PFEIFER the concerned products will bear the CE-marking. The use of the associated declaration of
performance is available for free download on the website. The declaration of performance is the guarantee of the manufacturer that the construction products comply with the declared performance concerning the mentioned specification. Basis for the declaration of performance is the available technical documentation. This includes among other things the results of the company production control, such as type check (first sample check) of the identification of the checked charges. The declaration of performance and CE-marking confirm the client and user, that the relevant European product regulations are considered. Should there be products without an harmonized European declaration, they may continue to be used
according to a national regulation, e. g. the German “bauaufsichtliche Zulassung” (building regulation
approval) of the “Deutsches Institut für Bautechnik”. The following PFEIFER construction products are affected by this:
- DB-anchor for fixation purposes
- Column shoe system
- Wall shoe system
- Staircase bearing
The following documents and markings are made available to you by PFEIFER respectively attached to the products:
- CE-marking and a declaration of performance (DoP). The declaration of performance is available onthe PFEIFER-homepage free of charge. The user receives a confirmation with regard to
- compliance with the relevant European construction products directive for this product
- significant product features like material used, conditions of use, test conditions
All other PFEIFER construction products will continue to be subject to the national regulations or other
European guidelines. These products may also be used according to the corresponding regulations
without restrictions.
