Shortening hook with eye connector for easy, particularly secure shortening of chain slings and for loops which should not tighten. The safety latch protects against unintended unhooking of the chain. The shortener enables horizontal alignment of the load in multi-leg attachment even with difficult transport procedures as well as suitable adjustment of the load for assemblies. Can be used for load securing.
