The chain gauge including four callipers and operating instructions is packed in a sturdy storage case (plastic). The 4-dimensional chain gauge can be used to perform the following statutory examinations quickly and easily: Strain measurement, chain in accordance with DIN-EN 818 for chain slings in quality grades 8 and 10 (6-22 mm) and grade 12 (7-13 mm) and measurement of the chain wear in accordance with DIN-EN 818 for manually hoisted chains (4x12 mm to 11x 31 mm) and electric chain hoists (3.1 x 9.3 mm to 9 x 27 mm).
