Function
Simply combining two identical VS® Rails W50 avoids confusion at the prefabrication stage as well as during installation on site. They are connected by threading a reinforcement bar though their overlapping loops. The joint is then cast in place with a suitable mortar.
There are two types of joint filling material: a self-compacting, free-flowing grouting material and an approval-compliant joint filling mortar with plastic, thixotropic properties.
Professional use qualifies mortars from the manufacturers PAGEL®, P&T® and BETEC®.

Combinable products
VS® Joint Pressure Formwork FDS, which is available separately, is recommended for production of the optimum joint in the connection.
